Over the last decade, Zachary Andrew McEntyre has represented a wide array of corporate clients in commercial litigation as a partner at King & Spalding, LLP. In 2014, Zachary Andrew McEntyre co-wrote a scholarly paper that earned a Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing. Since its inception in 1999, the Burton Awards program has rewarded those in the legal field for their career accomplishments. The awards take inspiration from the Pulitzer Prize Awards, recognizing everything from important legal reformations to outstanding writing. Through a partnership with the Library of Congress and funding from the American Bar Association, the Burton Awards has become one of the most prestigious honors in the legal field. Every year, the Burton Awards celebrate the work of law students and practicing professionals alike with its Legal Writing Awards. The program selects 30 partners who work at the 1,000 largest US firms and 15 individuals pursuing law degrees to receive these accolades. Both sets of winners submit written work that must fulfill such award requirements as clarity, persuasiveness, and legal expertise to be considered for the award. In addition to its writing accolades, the Burton Awards program recognizes individuals in such categories as Outstanding Journalist in Law and Reform in Law.
