In his role as a partner at the international law firm of King & Spalding LLP, Zachary Andrew McEntyre has played a key role in multiple complex commercial litigation cases. Prior to accepting his position at the firm, Zachary Andrew McEntyre obtained his JD from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Since its inception in 1873, Mercer Law has become one of the most well-respected law schools in the United States. This reputation is due in no small part to the school’s commitment to its students and focus on providing them with a well-rounded legal education. More than 25 years ago, Mercer Law set out to improve upon its existing program after receiving a donation of $15 million from George W. Woodruff, a local philanthropist. With this money, school leaders developed what is known today as the Woodruff Curriculum. This innovative program further highlighted Mercer Law’s commitment to excellence by making a few key changes to its previous learning structure. Those in the Woodruff Curriculum now benefit from smaller class sizes, a cutting-edge legal writing program, and improved library resources. The endowment also enabled the school to initiate the Woodruff Scholarship, a program that encourages bright legal scholars to enroll at Mercer Law. The innovative Woodruff Curriculum has attracted the attention of some of the most prestigious legal organizations in the U.S. In recognition of the program’s quality, the American Bar Association awarded Mercer Law its coveted Gambrell Professionalism Award.
